From Detection to Management: Cognitive & Behavioral Change in Aging
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identify common behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), including agitation, psychosis, depression, apathy, and sleep disturbances.
- Participants will be able to apply evidence-based psychopharmacologic strategies for managing cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms, including appropriate use of cholinesterase inhibitors, memantine, antidepressants, and antipsychotics.
