Advancing Healthy Births: Requests for Proposals
UPHCS and the Region 1 (UP) Perinatal Quality Collaborative are excited to announce a funding opportunity for community-based organizations and local programs in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This RFP is designed to support initiatives that improve birth outcomes, reduce health disparities, and address root causes of these disparities, in alignment with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ strategic plan, Advancing Healthy Births: An Equity Plan for Michigan Families and Communities.
Priority consideration will be given to proposals supporting childbirth education classes/certification through implementation or expansion of evidence-based curriculum.
The Region 1 Perinatal Quality Collaborative (PQC) will be awarding 3-5 mini grants totaling $63,292, with individual awards ranging from $12,000 to $16,000. We’re seeking proposals from organizations committed to supporting families and advancing health equity, including both existing efforts and new initiatives.
